No character on Degrassi gets people talking more than Manny Santos. Love her, hate her, feel sorry for her, hope she gets her comeuppance… the debate on Manny has raged for over 4000 posts on the message boards.

Here’s what it seems to boil down to…

I don’t like her look or attitude at all. But as much as I hate to say it, she made a good point to Emma in U Got the Look when she said that she’s there for everything Emma goes to but Emma isn’t supporting her much here.

But… if you think about it Emma was supporting her — remember in the beginning she was telling Manny she looked good and she would tell her if she took it overboard. Then when Manny took it too far, Emma told her and she got all upset and did the whole guilt trip thing…. that’s the way I saw it, ne way!!!!

I mean Manny’s my dogg, but she can’t take nobody’s boyfriend and expect Ashley to just stand by and let that happen

You know, I really just don’t like Manny. At all. She’s an insecure little girl who tries to hide it by flashing herself around and getting into other people’s business. And her immaturity really gets on my nerves. I mean, really.

I mean, Paige used to dress like that too. But I don’t think anybody really cared. Everybody’s just shocked about Manny’s quick change.
