Biography
Pasquale “Pat” Mastroianni is a Gemini Award-winning Canadian actor best known for his portrayal of the charismatic Joey Jeremiah in the Degrassi franchise. Born in Toronto, Pat began his acting career at the age of 13 when he answered a casting call for a local television show that would eventually become the international hit Degrassi Junior High.
Pat starred in the franchise through Degrassi Junior High, Degrassi High, and the TV movie School’s Out!. Following the conclusion of the original series in the early 1990s, he worked in his father’s construction business and briefly attended university before returning to the entertainment industry. He hosted the series Music Works and appeared in feature films such as Godzilla (1998).
In 2001, Pat reprised his iconic role as Joey Jeremiah for Degrassi: The Next Generation, bridging the gap between the classic series and the new class for five seasons. Outside of Degrassi, he has maintained a steady career in Canadian television with roles in Liberty Street, Suits, Beauty and the Beast, and Bitten.
