Let me start by saying how much fun HAIR can be! I got my highlights touched up this week and got a trim and I just love how fresh it made me feel. I am DEFINITELY the type of person who would have a great time experimenting with my look, but as an actress that is not realistic.
If it were for a role, I would change my hairstyle in a second. It’s such a huge part of personal image and I think it would help me get into character—my hair sort of reflects my mood the same way that how I dress reflects me.
Haha. This way of thinking does have its downside though. On those really bad hair days when I look like a troll, I feel like one too (and I am not referring to those cute retro trolls with the colourful poofs of hair on their heads).
But being an actress and having to maintain a steady hairstyle doesn’t mean I can’t experiment in other ways!
Just this afternoon I was on Queen St. with some friends when we found this really adorable raven-coloured pixie-type wig. Obviously, I had to try it on and take pictures, and obviously I have to share them with you all!
Tell me what you think—and be brutally honest. Am I better as a blonde or brunette? Long or short? I’d also love to know if any of you experiment with your hair—post some comments!
In other news (well, it’s news in my opinion):
– Frozen hot chocolate is the new ice cream.
– Skinny stripes are the new polka dots.
– The Devil Wears Prada is the best new movie of the summer!
That’s it for me and my random thoughts this week. I hope you are all seizing your summer days and making memories.
xoxo
